The Superbowl And The Clint Eastwood's Advertisement

Does Hollywood and politics mix? Does Hollywood influence political positions of America? Based on the Superbowl commercial from Clint Eastwood the answer appears to be a resounding yes.

Many people are outraged at this commercial because they believe it to be suggesting another term for Obama. In what way? The concept of half time implies that we are between terms with Obama’s 2nd term coming in the eyes of many. Loosely interpreted this would mean that the first term for Obama is over and the second term is now approaching.

I personally believe something much different can be seen from within this commercial that Clint Eastwood released. In a game there are normally two teams. Possibilities for the win are presented to both teams.

The entire game offers the possibility of a win for both teams which is very much talked about during half time. Politically speaking I believe the half time in America comment can apply just as well to Republicans as to Democrats. I would suggest that this Clint Eastwood commercial is not as political as people are making it out to be given that Clint Eastwood himself has stated that the intention of the commercial had nothing to do with politics.
